Courses provide an extended time to connect with clay processes. A space to learn a broad set of skills across a set of workshops. Designed both for beginners and those with a background in clay practice.
Taster sessions
Taster workshops offer a rounded introduction to wheel throwing. Gain hands-on experience with clear direction and guidance. Pieces produced are glazed and collected after the two firings.

Teaware workshop
A hands-on workshop exploring the design, making and finishing of a ceramic teapot. Spend two-sessions designing, building and refining your own teapot with matching pair of cups
Technique workshops
Shorter stand alone workshops focussing on specific aspects of ceramics practice. Giving the opportunity to drop into new aspects of clay practice for new and experienced makers.
The Edinburgh studio specialises in wheel throwing and has been established for 6 years. In that time I have enjoyed working with many learners of wheel throwing, developing the instinct for the whole process.
I am a practicing and exhibiting artist and ceramicist, trained in Fine Art BA and Ceramics and Glass MA. The range of media I currently work with includes ceramics, drawing and printmaking and sculpture.
I first began learning how to use the potters wheel in 2015 while living and working in Hong Kong in a small studio. This time spent learning the process was grounding in the unfamiliar setting and offered connection through the intense focus that the process promotes. These qualities are seen repeated with learners in my own studio today. Finding connection through the creation of wheel thrown objects. Lifting crafted objects from the kiln which are known and treasured.
